I am now handling my life and my quilt-making in much the same manner. When something goes wrong, I now make every attempt to see the problem as a happy gift. I've spent too much of my life choosing to be mad or sad. It was while working on this quilt that it became apparent that I hadn't quite let this new way settle in with how I work on quilts. The process of making it was much more fun, and now I'm catching up with everyone else who already knew this happy secret.
Special thanks, of course, goes to the old proverb about life handing us lemons.
